This site is about Tammy (Tamara) and Mark James.
The site was set up to help friends and family keep up
information about Saipan and other places we have been.

We met in Spokane Washington and got married 2 years later
on May 26th 2004 in Cozumel Mexico on the beach at sunset.
In April of 2005we moved to the island of Saipan, CNMI.
Saipan is a small island that is between the Pacific ocean and
the Philippine sea. Here is a site with
maps of where Saipan is.
This site has some nice pictures and info
The CNMI Guide

Why Underexposed and why Saipan?
I have been a avid scuba diver for years and when Tammy and I
met she joined me in my enthusiasm of being
exposed to the
wonders of what lays
under the waves. This is why we call our
site UNDEREXPOSED. We chose to move to Saipan because of
the climate and the fact that it is in Micronesia which has some
of the best scuba diving in the world.

We hope this site helps you keep up with this new adventure of
ours. In it you will find information and pictures on different
parts of our life. Please take some time to look around and let
us know what you think.

Ahhhh, Paradise!

Scott and I went to
Laulau to see some
sharks today. Only
found one.
01/03/2011

A sad day for some of
us. Aquajet ceased
operations after
todays dive trip. As
always good diving
and lots of fun even
if the waves were
GARGANTUAN!
12/22/2011

Still working on the
pictures from the PI
trip. Should have a
page done in the
next week or so. It
was a great trip with
some great friends.
Below are a couple
of video clips from
the trip.
1/14/2011

A couple of shots
from the Grotto today.
It was a nice dive with
lots of wide angle
opportunity but I had
my macro on so these
are what I got.
02/05/2011

If you click the pic it
will take you to a page
with a few shots from
today which was a
typical dive at "The
Grotto" on Saipan.
03/19/2011

Some shots from Laulau
today. Tammy found 5
different types of
Nudies.
03/18/2011

Jeong-ah passed her US
citizenship test so we
went out with her, Brad
and Bev to celebrate at
the Aqua Resort seafood
buffet. It was good!
03/17/2011

Tammy sold her
camera and housing
and took mine so I
needed to get a new
one. ;^) I took this shot
playing with it.
03/10/2011

Being on vacation this
week I had to get in a
few dives. Tammy
asked me to take Mindy
who is a dental
hygienist from Guam
here to help at the
clinic. This was her first
real dive after getting
certified and she did a
great job. I think she
had fun.
03/09/2011

Brian is new to Saipan
so I invited him and his
2 dogs to join D'Argo
and I on a hike down to
Forbidden Island. It
was a nice day and
D'Argo found a coconut
for me to throw.
03/05/2011

from Guam to cover for
me during my vacation
and he spent the
weekend at our place so
he could check out the
dive sites here on
Saipan.

On Saturday we went to
Laulau and Obyan and 2
dives at the Grotto.

He looked like he was
having fun checking out
the big fans and all the
tunnels there are to
swim through.
03/01/2011

D'Argo was getting a
little to comfortable
and thought he could
play rough but Tammy
reminded him of who
was in charge.
02/27/2011

Me playing with the
new camera. I call it
"Fire water".
02/26/2011

Tammy and I went out
to take pictures for a
couple of hours. We
went to a few different
beaches.
02/24/2011

D'Argo was full of
energy so we took him
to the park then to the
street market to grab
some dinner to take
home. He got lots of
attention.
02/11/2011

Today was a mixed day.
It started with a nice
sunrise and at lunch I
went to the beach
because Scott said they
had seen Whales. I had
my camera so I figured,
what the heck. I got a
couple of nice shots and
then I got lucky and saw
a Humpback breach
right off shore. The
down side is someone
broke into my car and
stole my work tool bag
with a laptop in it.

Talk about a big
emotional swing.
03/24/2011

A couple of shots from
our walk at American
Memorial Park tonight
with D'Argo. We
stopped to talk to
friends so I missed the
sunset but got these.
04/01/2011

Atsuko's birthday and
it's all about the
spoons.
03/31/2011

D'Argo having fun at
the park. He barked at
the kites and wanted to
play fetch with his
coconut as always.
04/09/2011

Tammy is sick and
Stroup just got certified
so I took him out for a
couple of dives. Though
only his 7th and 8th
dives he is very
comfortable and did an
excellent job. We went to
Laulau and got to swim
with a Turtle and then
later at the Grotto we
had another Turtle that
just swam circles around
us checking us out. It
was most excellent. I
think he is going to have
fun here.
04/14/2011

We took D'Argo to the
park after work to play
at the beach and ran into
Crystal and Shylah while
we were there.
05/07/2011

Some shots from today
diving with Stroup and
dinner at the Taste of the
Marianas. We played dice
at the Stroups last night
and I thought the dice
shot was cool.
05/15/2011

I've been on vacation for
the last week and have
got in some good diving
with Tammy, Scott, Brian
and Dave. We went to the
Temple of Doom and
swam with turtles at
Laulau.

Tammy and I also went
to the Taste of the
Marianas With Fed and
Dave who were both here
to cover for me while I'm
on vacation. Fed also
came over with Mark our
Xerox analyst from Guam
and made us some great
traditional Mexican food
for dinner one night. It
was a good week and this
next week Tammy is off
with me so we will be
doing some more diving
and hopefully some other
fun stuff as well.
05/26/2011

We celebrated our 7th
anniversary by going out
to dinner and then joined
some friends at the
theater to see the
Hangover 2. Before the
movie started our friends
had them put up a couple
of slides on the screen
that said Happy
Anniversary. This seems
like it would be an easy
task in this day and age
but the theater is old
school and they only
work with slides. Who
has slides anymore?
Scott managed to find
some old ones and
Atsuko got out her tools
and managed to write
this stuff on the slide
itself.

The dog pictures are on a
Cajon that Tammy gave
me for my gift. It is very
cool and the artwork of
D'Argo on it is most
excellent.
05/21/2011

Here are a couple of
shots from a art show to
raise money to help save
Turtles. I sold 4 prints so
I was happy with that.

After the show we went
to Micro beach to watch
the sunset before
heading to the Taste of
the Marianas. All in all a
very nice evening.
05/28/2011

We took a couple of
Navy gals out for some
dives today. They are
here for the holiday
weekend from Guam.
We didn't see anything
special but I think they
had a good time.
06/05/2011

Some shots from the
weekend. We went back
to La Fiesta to take some
more pictures and I shot
the tank on Saturday
morning while at the
colors were extra nice
and I couldn't resist.
06/10/2011

Today  Jeong-ah became an
American! It was a very
nice swearing in ceremony
and you could tell she was
very excited. There were a
total of 16 new Americans
from 5 different countries.
Seeing people so happy to
be an American reminds
me of how lucky I am.
06/12/2011

I took Barry out for a
couple of dives this
weekend I think he had a
good time.
06/29/2011

Here are a few shots from
around the yard over the
last few days.

The Butterfly that just
came out of the cocoon
was cool but it was at an
awkward angle. The flame
tree though not in full
bloom has lots of flowers
for only being 2 years old.
Maybe next year we will
get better coverage.
06/25/2011

We went to the park with
D'Argo then over to the
festival to grab a bite to eat
and watch the kids having
fun.
