This web page is about the construction of our new home.

We spent a long frustrating year looking for just the right piece of land to
build a home on. While we looked for land we also set about designing a
house to put on it. Many hours on the computer and many many
revisions later we settled on a comfortable 1400SF island bungalow we
could call home.

The land was leased (55 years) on 12-04-2006 and construction began
on 12-11-2006. On 12-14-2006 we went to take a few pictures of the start
of the project. Our goal is to do a few update pictures every week to show
the progress.

It's year end and the house is on schedule. They have most of the
foundation done and will be pouring the lower level slab on the 2nd.

It's the end of week 4 and the walls on the lower level are half way up.
When those are finished they can back fill the main floor and pour the
slab. Maybe by next week if all goes well.

Week 6
01-20-2007
Week 7 and the slab is done and the walls of the main floor are started. They tell me it will move faster now.
There was a lot of work getting all the conduit and plumbing right before they buried it in concrete.
Week 7
01-27-2007
With the slab done the walls start to go up very quickly. They have also started on the pool and the first shot is
from the pool area.
Week 8
Week 9
02-10-2007
Not a lot different then last week. When they reach 11 blocks high they stop and put in all the window and
door headers. They should finish the wall blocks this week. The pool is ready for the foundation to start.
Week 10
02-17-2007
The roof is starting to be framed in and the foundation for the pool has been poured.
Week 11
02-24-2007
Not a lot of visual change. The pool walls are going up and lots of re bar in the roof.
