The construction of the house is going very well!
We are hoping for a move in date of May 31........not too far away!
The tiles look wonderful, and we are extremely happy with the choices
that we have made.
The cabinets are all custom made and we are excited to see the step by
step progress each time we go to see it!
We have decided on colors for the inside and are going to go with all
earth tones.
The colors actually come from a photo that Mark took of a turtle and he
took colors from the turtles shell.
The finished look will be so beautiful that we cannot wait to get in and get
settled!
The plan is to have a big BBQ and invite all the workers and some
friends over to celebrate.
Our friend Ralph from Niles, Michigan bought us a bottle of Bubbly to
christen the house with, so we will make sure we get some pictures of
that event!

Week 12
03-03-2007

Most of the week was spent getting the roof ready. The plan is to pour on Tuesday. They tell me
the roof has 5 tons of re-bar and over 50yds of concrete.

Week 13
03-10-2007

The roof is done and they started taking down the wood framing and are working on the septic,
pool and started prepping the walls for finishing.

The removal of the roof framing is almost done along with the septic and leaching field. The first
look at the entry arches.

Week 14

This week they managed to plaster about 90% of the house inside and out. The pool is waiting
for some parts and the septic is waiting for the last inspection before they finish it.

They are working on finishing the walls and are doing more work on the pool. They also started
working on the roof trim. We brought the crew some Pizza Hut and soda for their break today.

This week was a little slow due to Good Friday and Typhoon Kong Rey, a couple of days were
missed. Door frames are going up. All the wood is Mahogany to help with termites.

Week 17

As they rap up the main structure things are starting to take shape. The arches have been
poured for the pool and the kitchen cabinets are being made. Tiling has also started in the bath.

Week 18

The inside is going fast now. Most of the floors are tiled and cabinets and closets are going in.
The quality and detail is very impressive.

Week 19

They are almost done with the closets and cabinets and the glass blocks are all in. Tiling has
started in the master bath and the Lanai is almost done. The walls are being prepped for paint.

Week 20
04-28-2007

Well, the outside paint is going on. The trim is a little more orange then we planned but were told
it will darken. The master bath, water feature and the bottom of the steps and all being worked
on. The railing on the Lanai is done and looks just like I drew it up.

Week 21
Cinco De Mayo

The front doors are going up and they are painting and staining. The steps are going into the
pool and they will pour that soon. The kitchen counters are getting close but they will need to
come back to finish that when the sink gets here.

Week 22

The rails are all in and ready to be set and painted. The pool bath is almost done and work on
the pool has started again. The wood staining will take 3 painters 20 work days to complete. The
steps are, sand, stain, clear coat, sand, clear coat, sand and then the finish coat.

Week 23

It's getting close. The paint is almost done in the main room and the guest room. They did a
thing with orange in the bathrooms and we asked them to change it to a different color. It's just
too much orange for me! The padio slab will be poured this week and then they finish the pool.

Week 24

Finishing work is happening everywhere. We have moved out of the old place and are storing
our things in some of the finished rooms while we stay at Dennis & Judy's. I could not do any
updates from there so I needed to wait until we moved in and got our cable.

Week 25

We are ready to move in. The dogs are staying here and are tied up because they can't stay a
D&J's. Banzai keeps escaping her harness...

Week 26

Let the unpacking begin! We are officially unofficially moving in. There is still work being done
but most of the inside stuff is finished and we have started to unpack.

This is the last of the pictures. For the most part the house is done. It is beautiful and we love it.
RNV the contractor has done a great job and we hope you will come and stay with us for couple
of weeks when you can.
