Here we are in Sunny Cozumel!
Here to dive and get hitched!
We are so excited to be here! Excited to go
diving with Aldora Divers and to be getting
married on the beach!
The water is an incredible turquoise blue, a
balmy 80 degrees or so, and the visibility is
awesome!
We check into our suite and are in awe at the
furnishings, we are really going to be spoiled on
this trip! We have a Huge master room, a
monsterous bathroom all done in ceramic tile,
with a big walk in shower! The sliders in our
room open up and look down on the swimming
area and gazebo, where there are some
German boys, sunbathingin their skimpy little
speedos!
We have our own kitchen, and a generous
living room to boot!
There are even a couple of resident kittens, a
boy, and a girl, that come into our suite and
keep us company. They like the fact that we
give them milk!
We get a good nights sleep the first night there,
and are up early to go out on the boat with
Aldora! As we expect, they are at the dock
when we arrive, they load up all our gear for us
(told you we were going to be spoiled) onto the
boat and away we go, after some brief
introductions to the other divers on board.
We are amazed at how beautiful it is here. We
are very lucky to be here  and to dive in these
spectacular waters!
The wildlife is abundant, very colorful, very
friendly!
White sandy bottoms and beautiful coral reefs
are all around us no matter which direction we
look!
Our dive masters are very professional yet,
very easy to talk to and joke with!
After our dives in the morning, we decide to go
out and hit the village to get some shopping in,
and to get a bite to eat. There are a mass of
locals, asking you to come into their shops and
look at their wares!
We buy a few souvenirs and check in at the
dive shop to check it out.
The next day, we are back on the boat for some
more exciting dives.
We get to the dock and our gear is already on
board, all we have to do, is get in the boat, and
we are on our way to one of the Dive Masters
favorite sights.
We see Eagle rays, too many fish to count, and
the most beautiful coral and sea fans you could
imagine!
Life is Good!
The morning of our wedding, we go diving, yes,
diving!
We are congratulated on the boat by every one
on board, and are a little nervous anticipating
the upcoming nuptuals.....that does not last
long as we get to our site, get briefed and gear
up to get in the water.....ahhhhh bliss!
After our wedding day dives, we head back to
our villa and take showers, wait for my
hairdresser to show up and pace, just a little,
waiting until we  go to Nachi cocum for the
ceremony. As we are rushing out the door,
Mark informs me, he doesn't really know how to
get to Nachi Cocum, he just has a idea of where
it is.........if I wasn't panicked before, I sure as
hell am now!
We jump in our little rental jeep, my dress
blowing in the breeze and by some miracle, end
up at Nachi Cocum!
The wedding planner was there waiting for us,
said that the Judge was there as were our
witnesses!
Mark took his spot on the beach and I walked
down just as the violinist started playing.
It was the most romantic evening of my entire
life! The sun was just beginning to set, and it
was a perfect sunset! After the ceremony,
We got a carriage ride around the town,
drinking champagne all along the way. It was
magical! And that was not just the champagne
talkin' either!
The next morning, we headed out to Chichen
itza.
It was soooooo hot, I could not believe it! We
walked up the pyramids. Explored a little before
we headed out to go back "home".
It was a wonderful experience, the chance of a
lifetime!
The next day, we got to do our sea lion swim!
Yeah! Her name was Nina, she was a doll, she
would come right up to us, kiss us and hug us
with her fins! I was in heaven! We learned a lot
about Sea Lions that day!
The following day out,
We did a dolphin dive, and I was a little
frustrated because I wasn't weighted properly,
and kept surfacing as I was trying to hug the
dolphin! After the instructor told us to surface,
because we were done, I swam after him, and
asked if I could have my own kiss from the
dolphin. I got up out of the water and stood on
the platform, the dolphin jumped out of the
water and balanced himself on the platform and
planted one right on my mouth! I could not
believe it, I got kissed by a dolphin! I really was
in heaven!
After diving and exploring  each day, we spent
some time at our villa with our neighbors,
enjoying Cocktails and the view of the water!
We had the most wonderful time in Cozumel,
and we cannot wait to get to go back some day
in the future!
The wildlife, the flame trees, the people, the
water......it's all good!
